Theory lectures will comprise of :
i. Introductory lecture to know what patient wants from treatment and how to fulfill his wishes with the best of knowledge you have.
ii. Introduction to malocclusion, making the patient aware of what goes wrong if not treated & importance of a balanced functional occlusion.
iii. Basic appliance design and how to use various wires in different circumstances and basics about biomechanics in orthodontics.
iv. Management of each type of malocclusion with braces and other orthodontic appliances in detail.

Hands on course / Practical:
i. Basic bonding techniques, bracket placement and proper placement of other attachments on metal typhodonts.
ii. Various wires which will be used for alignment, space closure and finishing and detailing of the case.
iii. Do's and don'ts in orthodontic mechanics.
iv. Various technics how's to manage complications.
v. Hands on patients from initial strap up to debonding and retention under strict supervision.

The course is in a condensed format pattern for introduction of fixed orthodontic treatment for general practitioners.
It will be for a period of 6 months in which both theory and practical/ chair side guidance starting from the beginning till the finishing details will be taught to the participants.
